Super Bowl LIII is February 3rd. Since my team isn’t in it, I’m most likely not going to watch. I use the term “my team” very loosely. I must confess that I’m not a hard-core football fan. I don’t really care who wins (as long as it’s not the Patriots. Sorry MA friends, but Spygate and Deflategate?). However, it wouldn’t be honest of me to ignore “my teams” problems, so instead of mentioning them, let’s just change topics.
Just across the pond, five men and a teenage boy were arrested for attacking seven victims ranging in age from 13 to 15. This gang organized parties on social media to lure in their victims.
While this happened in England, similar situations like this happen in the United States. Child predators are manipulative and smart. So this year, if you are planning on giving your child the gift of a device, please determine your boundaries before the wrapping paper hits the floor.

You know the facts. You’ve heard the stories. Now there’s just the question. It’s a common one and an honest one. Like most things involving human behavior, it’s easier to ask than it is to answer.
As I started reading what that phrase meant, my heart began pounding inside my chest. My breathing became heavy and my head started spinning. I felt like the rug had been pulled out from under me.I read the words: "the trade of humans for the purposes of forced labor, sexual slavery, or commercial sexual exploitation."Men, women, and children sold as slaves."HOW?! How is this going on in our world today?!" I questioned.
Do you remember the first time you applied for a job or maybe when you applied for your DREAM job? This opportunity meant hope! It meant independence! You suddenly have this hope of working towards something that you enjoy doing, are good at, and are able to provide for yourself and your family. It’s exciting to think about your new workspace, coworkers, and environment!
When talking about a topic such as human trafficking, people often feel as though there is a weight on them to make a difference, but don’t feel adequate enough to do that very thing. Sometimes this leads to people not doing anything.
We’re excited to announce that we will be participating in this year’s Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving! For more info on Giving Tuesday, check them out at: https://www.givingtuesday.org
